Write in a journal how you are feeling each day.

Take 5. Whether that be 5 breaths or 5 minutes in a private area to re-evaluate your situation. Leaving your current situation will allow you to gain perspective and return back to your ongoing tasks with a clear mindset.

Sometimes talking to my mom and dad helps a lot.

Going for a walk with friends.

Doing something positive with your hands can help! Draw, cook, knit, fold some laundry, paint, do a puzzle, fix something.

Practice deep breathing, taking 10 breaths, counting up from 1 to 10 in your mind as you slowly take each breath, and exhale. Focus on the breaths and just counting. See how you feel after 10 breaths, it can also help lower your anxiety and heart rate

Be kind to yourself. Extend yourself the same kindness that you would give a friend who is coping with what you are coping with. It’s okay to not be okay. It’s okay to need to take time for yourself to practice self-care. It’s okay to get help. You are not a weak person, you are so strong. It takes so much strength to to feel the way that you do and to keep going.
